Hey guys,
I am a 22 year old graduate who recently got a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have always dreamed of being a pilot so after getting my Mechanical Engineering degree I have aspired to become a commercial airline pilot. I am completely a newbie at this and I have no idea how to become a pilot.
I was looking through the various institutions providing pilot training online and I stumbled upon ATP and AeroSim. I also know about Embry-Riddle and UND but I don't know whether they offer an *ONLY PILOT TRAINING* program or not.
So here are my queries:
1) Can anyone tell me if Embry-Riddle or UND offers an only *Pilot Training Program* instead of the Bachelors degree
2) How much are ATP and AeroSim worth? and if you had to choose one which one would you choose? And what is the job placement for them? Do you get hired fairly quick? Also I am an International as in I don't live in the United States. I saw that both ATP and AeroSim provide F-1 Visa for international students. I plan on getting my training and going back home to work. So would ATP and AeroSim would be a good option for me?
3) In order to become a First Office or a Commander in some of the major airlines in the world like Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways etc approximately how long would it take me to reach that goal?
4) Also as I was googling I found out there were multiple airline licenses such as FAA and the JAA (European). Could you suggest me which is a better option INTERNATIONALLY.
I hope the learned people over here can help me out quick as I am really passionate about flying and its been my dream ever since I was a little kid.
