A little birdy on the inside told me that new hires will be going to Guam and Newark. I would also anticipate any unfulfilled slots as well? CAL had new hires going to the 777 and some made 737 Captain in a few years. Yes, I have my application in, just wondering. A few questions if I may. I know a lot will ride on the TA.
1)Guam: Is there a commitment? Pay (an extra stipend?) Housing provided? What fleet (737-800 only)?
2)Newark: Self expanatory? Will there be a big bid after the TA and do you think all fleets will be open? Is it better domestic vs international? Is the crash pad situation any good as I have read that 80% commute?
3)JFK: Is this a junior base? A320s only? JFK would be my first choice if I was lucky enough to get hired.
4)Upgrades:Will quick upgrades happen again due retirement/expansion and pay on widebodies? In other words will most hang onto or go to larger aircraft for the pay or will most bid any Captain seat albeit on 737 or A320.
