FDX negotiations

More public whining and complaining has hit the FDX ALPA membership in the guise of "message lines" from MEC members.

TH says he expects (wants?) the current negotiation process to fail. Then he makes a 16 pt. list attempting to discuss the FDX MEC Chairman's judgment. You can read it here.

Prior to the list he attacks the Chairman's integrity and the democratic process. No details on that, just accusation. The recall is viewed by TH as failure of the democratic process. I see his point that it's not normal but the process is in the policy manual and there is a vote involved. Two, in fact. Sounds democratic to me unless he feels the ballot box is compromised. Interestingly, TH made a similar rant after he lost the interim election for block rep. No one there was impressed.

I can't post the list as these guys have convinced APC they shouldn't be subject to objective scrutiny by their peers. They shamelessly attack the free speech of others as they claim their's is under attack (it isn't, at all). They only want those they don't like to have their voices curtailed. How democratic is that? Points 9 and 10 in the link above specifically reveal his desire to restrict the voices of others.

TH lists many things as if the sheer volume will give his claims credibility and convince us he is doing some real work as Block rep. Go thru these items and get some real answers to the charges.

One has to wonder, why doesn't TH bring these items to the attention to the MEC while they are in session and attempt to actually work through them. He then might be able to report on some PROGRESS on the issues he proudly proclaims in his message lines. Traditionally that is what message lines are for. He should read what others put out to learn but he has already indicated he will keep doing what he's doing until he leaves office. There is no room for learning at this point.

I like to see MEC reps get things done when they spend our dues $$$ attending a meeting, not publicly complain about their peers after the meeting is over. It's definitely a disturbing trend.
