I am at a stagnant regional airline and I am going to get my ATP on my own. I am wondering what the best way to go is. I have heard of guys doing this with a DPE in Presque Isle, Maine who they say in lenient. Also, I have heard of guys going to ATP Flight School or doing it together with a type rating in a sim (which is too pricey I think). I have flown nothing but a regional jet for the last few years. I am nervous about jumping into a piston multi-engine one day and taking the test the next day.
